A Message from Dr. Mark D. Cain, Senior Pastor:

Thank you for the interest you have shown in Village Bible Church. I hope that you will visit us in person for one of our worship services. I firmly believe what we have articulated in our Vision Document - that our very purpose for existing as a church is to Glorify God by making disciples who become fully devoted followers of Jesus Christ.

My personal goal in ministry is to help facilitate that process. One primary way of doing that is through what we term authentic worship. In each of our services we endeavor to meet with God through song -- usually both the grand old hymns of the faith as well as more contemporary songs -- and through the preaching of the Bible. My number one investment each week is the preparation of a biblical, relevant and applicable message. I always strive to speak from the Bible to the real world in which we live.

I know that selecting a church home is a serious decision, and so I invite you to come visit us, listen and ask questions, and see if Village Bible Church is a good "fit" for you.

Dr. Cain came to Village Bible Church in October, 1997 from Pennsylvania where he had pastored for 17 years. He holds a graduate degree from Dallas Theological Seminary and Westminster Theological Seminary. Through sound Bible teaching and compassionate pastoral care, he ministers to the congregation at Village Bible Church. He and his wife, Jane, are the parents of two children.

Rev. Spader began his ministry as the church's Executive Pastor in June, 2007. A graduate of Covenant Seminary in St. Louis, Missouri, he had previously ministered in Newton, Iowa. His primary areas of responsibility include directing the Ministry Council, assimilating new people into the life and ministry of our church and the equipping of believers for the work of the ministry. He and his wife, Connie, are the parents of 3 children.

Judy McEarl came to Village Bible Church as the music director in1995. She is also the music director of The Witness, Hot Springs Musical Passion Play. Born in Hot Springs, she has lived here all of her life with exception of college time at Henderson where she received a B.S. in Mathematics. With a professional musician father, she received musical training throughout most of her life, and in that found God's call of worship in music. She is married to Richard and they have two sons.

Jerry Dewey and his wife, Dolores, retired to the Village in 1993, coming from Illinois where Jerry was an executive in the insurance industry. He and Dolores hold degrees from Wheaton College. Jerry has been musically active in churches all of his adult life, and also for many years as a Bible teacher. In 2003, he was asked to serve as Director of Care Ministries, overseering and personally participating in the care needs of the VBC congregation. Included in his responsibilities are visitation and responding to other individual personal needs, such as providing transportation, meals, and counsel. He works closely with the Elder Board and Shepherd Groups, both to respond and to intentionally focus on the various care needs of our church family.

Rev. Levan Hubbard is our new part-time administrator at Village Bible Church. He is originally from Arkansas, graduating from Morrilton High School. Levan is a graduate of Arkansas Tech University in Russellville with a BA in Music Education. He comes to VBC after 19 years of pastoring in Free Will Baptist churches in Arkansas and Texas.

Levan says, "I have heard nothing but good things about Village Bible Church since I have been in the Village. I am excited about the opportunity to serve the Lord and the church in this capacity. Thanks for the welcome you have given to my family and me already. Please feel free to contact me anytime that I can be of help to you."

Levan's office hours will be Monday through Thursday from 8:30-12:30 in addition to being available on Sundays.
